WALL DRAWING #9
THE ART GALLERY OF ONTARIO
SEP. 24 - OCT. 1, 2024
TORONTO

The AGO commissioned artist Sean Weisgerber to create a site-specific installation for this year's Art Bash benefit. Wall Drawing #9 consists of ten unique text-based stickers that cover the entire west wall of the gallery's lobby. Weisgerber's installation co-opts the aesthetics of modernist painting to offer a playful examination of cultural labour, patronage and the artist's role within the context of a gallery benefit.
